Some think, the shorter, the tighter, the better. Others swear by the notion that you should leave something to the imagination. Me? I believe undeniable style is found somewhere in the middle—where fit, proportion, and intention come together seamlessly.
"Fit is everything. If your clothes don’t fit, they don’t work." – Unknown
Great fit isn’t just about how tight or loose something is; it’s about balance. It’s about proportions that work with your body, not against it. Does that blazer hit at just the right spot to define your shape? Is your top the perfect length to complement the rise and cut of your bottoms? If you're wearing a dress, does it flatter your height, or is it cutting you off and making you look shorter than you are? And if you have extra-long legs, is that mini dress giving the effect you want, or does the occasion call for something a little more refined? No judgment—just a moment to pause and consider the message your fit is sending.
Because here’s the truth: How clothes drape and fit your body matters just as much—if not more—than what you’re actually wearing. The right fit elevates even the simplest outfit, while the wrong fit can take even the most expensive piece and make it look like an afterthought. Style isn’t just about what’s trendy; it’s about making clothes work for you, not the other way around.
I challenge you to try on your favorite outfit and take a second look—does the fit truly flatter you, or is there room for improvement? When analyzing your look, also consider the occasion. Is this outfit for an event that calls for classy and buttoned up or is this a space where you can let your hair down and find. your sexy?(whatever that means for you!)
After you give your favorite outfit a second look, let me know what you come up with. Are you wearing your favorite outfit tomorrow or are you making some adjustment?
With Style and Grace,
-Bianca
